About the Jackson County Republican Organization
Purpose
The Jackson County Republican Club, formed for the purpose of uniting and coordinating the principles of the Party,
actively organizes Republican activities in Jackson County . The Club’s mission is to communicate a conservative
message and Republican ideology throughout the community and to support and assure the election of local, district,
state and national Republican candidates.
Organization
The Executive Committee consists of the officers and two members at large. Precinct Captains also assume positions
of leadership especially during election cycles. Jackson County precincts are: Barker’s Creek, Canada, Caney Fork,
Cashiers, Cullowhee, Dillsboro, Greens Creek, Hamburg, Mountain, Qualla, River, Savannah, Scotts Creek
1,2, 3, Sylva North, Sylva South and Webster.
Benefits
The Sylva Headquarters is open year round for information, meetings and gatherings. Republican signage, paraphernalia
and brochures are available at Headquarters.
Election Cycle
During an election cycle the Organization assumes all duties required to get out the vote and carry candidate messages
to voters. Election activities include organizing candidate forums and rallies, assembling and displaying signage,
distributing candidate election materials, conducting phone banks and email messaging , staffing polls and delivering
Republican turnout on Election Day.
Communications
Republican news and meeting or event announcements are published in local newspapers and sent via email. The Conservative View, a compilation of articles on conservative thought, is produced by the Organization and provided to voters throughout the community.
