Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know, I will be continuing in my capacity as the Chairman of the Jackson County Republican Party for 2008.

I am a candidate for the  North Carolina House of Representatives District 119 seat, presently held by Democrat Phil Haire.  I met the N.C. required deadline, with the Jackson County Board of Election.  District 119 includes the counties of Jackson, Swain, Haywood and portions of Macon.

Taxes, private property rights and gaining state support and recognition for the district counties will be my top priorities.  Many candidates state that their priorities are for improving education and economic opportunities for Western North Carolina.  Well of  course, we are all for those things and for me, working to meet those needs are a given.  However, I intend to go many steps beyond and address the demanding, underlying issues that are of equal concern to all citizens in our district.

Working for the families and all citizens of our district will be a tremendous honor for me!   I feel that the opportunities to help the district and Western North Carolina are monumental and I feel strongly that I
am more than up to the task.

Visit the "DODIE 2008" web site for more information.

May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You!
